Technology is being used to assist in the development and
safety of the children. The following are some
implementations:
Internet accessible video cameras in each room, secure internet viewing for parents
Computers available to children
Computerized sign-in and sign-out for children and staff
Automated monitoring of staff/child ratios throughout
the day
Classrooms
The nursery I & II is design with a pod system. A pod
system, one large room is divided into two classrooms
through a combination of half and full walls (42” high).
The middle of the pod is a shared teacher support area
(diaper changing, toileting, food prep and desk). The
benefits: because of the shared space, it is easy for
staff to transition or visit the other classroom during
the day. This makes it much easier for the infant or
toddler to stay with another caregiver when necessary. I
think parents will also feel better about transitioning
because they too have already established a relationship
with their child’s new caregiver.
Nursery has a separate nap area designed to create a
quiet area for sleeping while maintaining high visibility
to all cribs.
The rooms are designed to make certain that your child
is never out of sight with his/her caregiver.
Varied light sources, including lots of natural light
Windows for easy observation, views to the outside
Technology incorporated into every classroom
Teacher resource center in the classrooms
State of the Art outdoor Classroom playground
