Summer Programs

Summer program is designed for primary school age children, ages 5 to 10 years of age and operates during the days that school age is out of primary school for less than three to four months. This program is from 7:00am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday (June trough August). All enrollments are for five days a week. Each group has a lead teacher and assistant teacher who offer arts and crafts, dramatic play, music, table games, science and social studies projects, manipulative, books, puzzles, sports and daily outdoor play. Our goal is to provide safe, high-quality care and activities that are fun and relaxing as well as educational.

Summer Camp curriculum is designed to be relaxing, recreational, educational and customized to the interests of school age children. Shining Stars Academy offers a summer weekly themes. Our summer themes, field trips and guest speakers will keep your kids happy in a learning atmosphere until school starts again in the fall. Kids will discover their talents and interests. Our curriculum offers a full variety of daily activities, long-term projects, special events, field trips and enrichment activities.

Creative arts and crafts include sand art, and clay sculpting just to name a few. Field trips to destinations such as the zoo and aquarium, museums, library, puppet theatre, bowling, roller-skating, and movies are designed to be both fun and educational. Outdoor activities include swimming, water play, organized sports and games, and gardening. We offer exciting challenges in a relaxed setting with many opportunities for success.

Our summer campers are exposed to a numerous of activity choices while involved with supportive, nurturing, qualified teachers trained to meet the needs and interest of school age children. Group size is limited to 25 children, with 2 teachers per group. Ratio is 1 adult per 18 children with a total of 25 children in the room. Each month you will receive a parent newsletter that contains your child’s classroom news and to keep you informed of school events.
