We have a five day program in our center for children ages 4 to 5 years old and 5 to 6 years old (Less than 6 by Oct. 16) . The operational hours for the Transitional Kindergarten Full Time program (4-5 years old only) is from 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and the Transitional Kindergarten Part Time program (5-6 years old less than 6 by Oct. 16) is from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Our Full Time & Part Time Transitional kindergarten Program will be one of the best in the area.  Our Part Time Transitional Kindergarten operates during the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. We'll offer small class sizes & more individualized attention. The Transitional Kindergarten Program is designed to provide a child-centered, literacy-focused curriculum to ensure that all children enter school ready to learn. We follow ABeka curriculum that is dedicated to providing quality education from a Christian perspective and focuses on build a strong foundation for school success. Teachers provide a balance of structure and self-direction, so children’s developmental skills and self-esteem are enhanced. We work to incorporate children who come part day into a consistent social group with children who come full days. The class will be taught by a teacher with a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Education. Children independence is encouraged and successful experiences are distinguished. Our program offers a learning environment with:

• Low student-to-teacher ratios that allow specific instruction to support individual learning needs

• Reading, history, mathematics, science/ health, and English programs that provide a basis and practice in important academic skills.

The classroom arrangement is well organized and stocked learning areas sets the framework for the curriculum, where learning through play is the focal point. The daily schedule allows for an appropriate balance of active and quiet, large and small group, child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities. Other core learning activities areas such as block, housekeeping, dramatic play, science, foreign language, art, music and movement, sand/water play are integrated throughout the day to provide engaging, meaningful experiences. Each month you will receive a parent newsletter that contains your child’s classroom news and to keep you informed of school events and weekly report to inform you of your child’s progress. To be eligible for enrollment in our Part Time Transitional Kindergarten program, a child must be less than 6 years old by October 16 of the upcoming school year. Children who will not be 5 by October 16 must enroll in the Transitional Kindergarten Full Time program.

Flexible Before & After School Care hours are available for the Part Time Transitional Kindergarten.  If a parent chooses the Before & After Care options, children may be dropped off at his/her classroom, at 7:00am. After completing his/her day in the classroom at 1:30pm, children will have free time to unwind and play in centers. They will then have quiet time followed by an afternoon snack. In the afternoon, after snack and cleanup time, if the weather is nice, they will spend time in the playground. The Before and After care for the P.T. Transitional Kindergarten hours are from 7:00- 8:30am to 1:30-6:00pm with an additional cost.
