Mission
Statement
 The
Shining Stars Academy Inc. mission is
to provide a secure, nurturing, loving and stimulating
environment that encourages and promotes developmental growth
in all areas of learning as well as help children to develop
to their fullest potential. We are committed to providing the
highest quality childcare, early education, and work/life
solutions in the nation.
Shining Stars Academy Inc. is
privately founded and owned child development center by Vic & Mayra Cintrón de Shahid in 2005. We are located in the East
Arrowood area in Charlotte North Carolina.
Origins
After looking for child care for our two year old son, my
husband and I were getting discouraged by the lack of quality
child development centers in the area. Having a degree in
Early Childhood Development and over fourteen years of hands
on experience in the child care industry I know how important
these first years are for children.
I've been involved in managing high quality child care
programs for over eight years in other states and had spent
four years as a teacher and caregiver. I know what to look for
when looking for a child care facility and I just wasn't
finding it in the Charlotte area.
That's when we decided to take matters into our own hands
and start a center that would live up to our standards and be
something that provides value to the community. Between the
two of us we have the knowledge, experience, skills and most
of all, the desire and commitment to build an exceptional
Center not only for our child but others.
Philosophy
In 2005
Shining Stars Academy Inc. was
formed to create an early childhood education environment far
superior to any available in any area we operate in. Children
learn through play and hands on activities, experimentation
and exploration, which helps their cognitive, physical,
emotional, and social development.
We value our parents, our staff, and the
opportunity that we have to be a part of your child's development. The impact that we can have as partners for
children is beyond measure! We believe that parents leaving
their children with us should feel confident that the quality
of care and environment would be as nurturing and safe to
their child as in their own care, if not better.

God’s Prayer! |

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day. I thank You for my
being able to see and to hear this morning. I am blessed
because You are forgiving and understanding. You have done so
much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day
for everything I have done, said or thought that was not
pleasing to You.
I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from
all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new
attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each
and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me
not whine and whimper about things over which I have no
control. And it’s the best response when I’m pushed beyond my
limits.
I know that when I can’t pray, You listen to my heart.
Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep
me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I
may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those
that are lost and can’t find their way… I pray for those that
are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don’t
know You intimately. I pray for those that don’t believe.
But I thank you that I believe. I believe
that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all
my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in
their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their
homes, that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.
I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no
problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every
battle is in Your hands for You to fight
